Student Registration
To register your child to attend Shepherds Junior School, you may visit the campus in Kimandolu (for nursery students) or in Moivaro (for primary students) from 9am – 12pm each weekday, Monday through Friday. Currently, additional space is only available in classes 4 – 6. Class 7 is also open beginning January 2011.
Visit
We’re very proud to share the learning environment we’ve created for the children of Shepherds Junior, and offer tours to visitors from across the globe each Tuesday & Thursday at 11am for a suggested contribution of $25 USD to our school’s scholarship fund. We can additionally arrange transportation to school from anywhere in Arusha, and provide a healthy, nutritious lunch that represents the local cuisine we provide for our students for an additional $25 USD.
To schedule a tour, simply contact Mama Lucy via the email, phone number or twitter handle below. If unable to schedule in advance, you’re welcome to drop in anytime, but we cannot guarantee a host will be available to guide you, nor that our classrooms will be open for visitation due to exams and class schedules.
Volunteer
Our partner US nonprofit Epic Change regularly schedules 2-4 week volunteer excursions that provide an in-depth, unique local experience not available through any other volunteer placement services. Contact sanjay@epicchange.org for additional information. We also regularly receive volunteers via the Tanzania Volunteer Service (TVS).
To arrange an independent volunteer experience, contact Mama Lucy through any of the channels listed below for fees, projects and availability.
